Twitter\u2019s hard limit on characters is a temptation too delicious to ignore.
\nWhat a marvellous space to evoke a mood or relationship in.
\nI\u2019m surprised it isn\u2019t more of a popular pursuit to craft poetry inside Twitter.<\/p>\n

Tweetery<\/strong>
\nTo me (and of course to many others)\u00a0it is our digital age\u2019s haiku. A widely accessible and understood form that is shared, public and ephemeral. I think of it as Tweetry, \u201cpoetry in tweets\u201d. I saw that it is called micropoetry<\/a>. Really? No poet came up with that name, I can assure you. Twihaiku <\/a>too, but too direct a link to haiku I think (and it sounds like something rude that is being used as code behind your back). No thanks. I like my perhaps daggy Tweetery, and I know I\u2019m late to the party too, but that\u2019s how I roll.
\nI\u2019m the slow anything movement.<\/p>\n

I dabble. I\u2019m experimenting. It is a little pleasure. I know I\u2019m not great at it, but sometimes, gee sometimes that single little tweet reminds me of my own love and puts a tiny little poetry back into my step and that can be enough.<\/p>\n

Here is my January 2014 tweetery for your non-Twitter based pleasure (I\u2019m @orbitaltorch<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>Your night sky softly waits for a cool calm to return.
\nBring the fire of your heart for a torch.<\/p>\n

Jan 18
\n<\/b>Tin roof cooling in the night, tick ticking against crickets singing, My heart calling too All calling Into the dark<\/p>\n

Jan 21
\n<\/b>Master sets a test.
\nI take it every day
\npencil scratching, heart pounding.
\nDo I pass!?
\nHe won’t say, just
\n“Start again, stop trying”.<\/p>\n

Jan 26
\n<\/b>Imagine there’s room in you for all hopes, all courage, all loves.
\nImagine that potential is in you now.
\nThat is your heart.<\/p>\n

So there you are.<\/em>
\nI\u2019m still learning, always anyway, and\u00a0about line breaks.
